HOLY H3LL.
Let me start this off from the beginning.
I bought a straight talk platinum plan assuming just like before this plan would work as it did with cricket wireless.
Big mistake. The pin for my card is incorrect and won't be accepted AND my card is non refundable.
Exactly how is your building not burned down and this crooks brains are not being curbstomped by an angry mob is amazing.
Lost 65 bucks due to a non refundable card that I probably won't see any return on or use for.
F****** Scam. Im not the one for violence but when you f*** with me I Swear to god I hope you get your just deserts.
Do NOT choose Straight Talk because they do NOT uphold any of their" rewards " they claim they'll give you. I have referred 3 different friends who all kept their service active and paid up as well I've had my service well over a year and purchased 3 phones in the past 18 months from Straight Talk.i actually recieved a text last month telling me I was eligible for a free month FINALLY except I had to reactivate my service to o recieve the free month this was May 2nd , I PAID to reactivate my phone and they then took the points but obviously seen as I PAID I recieved NOTHING FREE and now this month I am told I dont have enough points to receive the free month as promised. This is a rip off and 100% a scam and I have a picture of the texts from Straight Talk

I switched from boost to straight talk yesterday. It took 3 hours of the guy being on the phone at Walmart and me waiting in my wheelchair. The woman on the phone in I guess Pakistan could barely speak English. She never said my new phone was activated. I figured it out when I picked up my old phone to check my email. Why are we allowing our customer service department's to be shipped overseas where they couldn't care less about America or the customer's they pretend to help? This garbage has got to stop.
After several attempts to replace sim card to no avail, we were told to send the phone back for replacement. Been without a phone now for 3 weeks, no way to move the process along even though my wife has been missing calls from her doctors. Pathetic sevice.
Seems like most the complaints on here are people who have issues with billing and dont understand their data plans.
I personally love my straight talk service. They use popular wireless company's towers so you get the same reliability as others who are locked into contracts paying higher bills. I pay 45 (about 49 with taxes) a month for unlimited text and talk, and 25 gigs of data which is very hard to use up unless you are streaming all day long without wifi. I hardly ever get dropped calls or have any issues at all.
Straight Talk had 7,000 reward points pending for me. They were to be available on 5/16/21. When they weren't available, I called and talked to four different people at Straight Talk. In the end, they took my reward points and said that if I was not adding an additional line to my account, that the reward points couldn't be used. I depend on my reward points for my monthly plan. They've never taken my points before. I've had 11,000 in the past, and used them as I needed them.
I had Straighttalk for several years and the service worked fine, but customer service was always sketchy. Then, starting approximately eight (8) months ago my voicemail stopped working. I couldn't access or retrieve any of my messages and many times when people called me and tried to leave a message they said they would receive various error messages including the most bizarre of all, advertisements for other companies and Straighttalk. Over the last eight months I have called Straighttalk's customer service line approximately eight times and literally spent 3 to 4 hours each time. Each time I'd start out with a lower level Customer Service rep and after they spent hours trying to get my voicemail to work they would give up and refer me to a "higher level" voicemail expert. This so called VM expert would then have me go through hours of resets and powering my phone on and off and at the end they would claim success and my Iphone would at least allow me to enter my VM password, but then all of my existing VM messages had been deleted. Thinking my VM had been fixed I would get off the phone and then later people would ask me they had left messages, but I never got them. So, to test the voicemail I would have a family member call and leave a message. As other people had reported my family member could leave a message on what appeared to my voicemail, but the message would NOT go to the VM I had set up on my phone. As a result, I still could not receive ANY of my the numerous voicemails that friends, family and business clients informed me they had left on my VM. So, as my time would permit I would call Straighttalk back again and go through the entire process all over again and each time after hours on the phone ST would claim they fixed the problem, but each time I still could NOT access or retrieve any of the numerous voicemails that people assured me they had left. In the end, ST never could fix the problem (and this was OVER 8 MONTHS OF TIME) and to make matters worse ST flat out refused to consider any kind of refund or reimbursement for the loss of my voicemail and messages and all of my time that was wasted. Finally, I had no other choice but to switch carriers. Interestingly, as soon as I switched and ported my phone number over to a new carrier my voicemail worked 100% perfectly! So, clearly the problem was with Straighttalk and NOT my phone.

As a long time Straight Talk customer I am posting this to let everyone know that the company is NOT what it used to be. Yesterday my phone service was cut off, supposedly because my card didn't have the correct expiration date, which is BS because it did, and I didn't receive a notice that it was expiring either. So now, because I had to enroll in a NEW version of Autorefill I'm paying $5 more per month than I was. It looks to me like they deliberately conned me, and to make matters worse once I logged into my account I had to talk to a CHAT BOT to try to get it back on, and couldn't because the bot didn't understand what I was saying. Is this quality customer service? Not on your life. The person I was able to chat with (who never even told me his or her name) finally got my service back on, but as I said it's at a higher rate. So bottom line for me is that I'm going elsewhere.

Back in January my uncle try calling my straight talk cellphone but my cellphone never got call from my uncle that day.
This place is a joke. I have literally spent over $300 in the past 2 months to have a hot spot and still to this day DO NOT have a working hotspot. I have called over and over and over to hear the same thing and no one actually fix the problem. It's extremely irritating and not to mention have pissed me off to the point I will never buy anything thru them ever again. I give this place no stars what so ever.
I am disabled and am below the poverty line so I use my cell phone to watch TV programs news or just plain surf the web. Since I only draw less than $800 a month I figured that unlimited data would cover be my best option but since 60 gigs is the new unlimited I am sitting in the library parking lot using their wifi to post this. Straighttalk has outgrown their original mission the customer service socks if can even understand what they are saying and they are changing the definition of words I was taught years ago
I've been with them for over 7 years and the only issue I had was when I bought a new phone through them, probably my own fault for picking out a Samsung P. O. S.! The A20 is just an awful piece of crap, 1 bar or lost connection, no notifications, etc. my moto6 had full bars always. But the problem came when I replaced that phone with another and needed to switch from Verizon to a GSM carrier, I had an old AT&T SIM that I used to test my new "unlocked" phablet and bought a small service plan for $25 just to be sure it worked before changing service. It did, so I asked to port my number over to AT&T, they sent me a new SIM (after a few times chatting with reps) transfered service and my data speed was 0.07Mbs! It took 6 hours and 5 times before they finally understood that the SIM they sent was bad, luckily I still had that cheap plan to use while this went on. Luckily again I had another old unused SIM for T-Mobile and just transferred my service to it. But I did lose my best number I ever had in the process since I'm sticking with AT&T. I think that most people are simply working with minimal funds and they freak out when any tiny glitch happens with the service and aren't willing to spend $25 to keep some type of service while they get things figured out. If anyone is looking to leave Simple mobile has a cheaper unlimited plan but if course it's all the same tracphone service either way. I'm going to try it out next billing cycle and see if it's any different. It's MVNO with T-Mobile so you can't expect much from what I experienced using them for a few weeks. But it's $10 less per month now that straight talk only gives a $1 per month auto fill discount $59 compared to $50 per month with same hot spot and unlimited up to (and over) 60GB but I think simple says $50 might be slowed but I doubt it it's all tracphone?!?
To be honest they are a scam. They have been charging my visa since Jan, Feb, March, April. I didn't notice it and till I was on my online banking just making sure all my other payments added up correctly. I notice a pending for 49.99 was pending and it was straight talk charging me. I then called customer service from straight talk and told them I had a pending from straight talk and said last time I payed was for December of 2020 I was on a month to month I would call and talk to the billing and give them the go head that was the only way i would pay for my daughters cell. No auto payment from my visa card I gave them no access or permission to make auto refill. They just did that on their own and now I'm disputing this with my bank cause straight talk wont reimburse my money back for 4 months. Be careful people make sure to check your online banking never again well i ever trust straight talk. Thieves and crooks is what they really are Devils.

I suspect there's something wrong with your phone or the app. It's a glitch somewhere. A few days a go an app blocked my texting and I tried everything including uninstalling the app, reinstalling, called ST support but texting would not work. I had to keep restarting my phone to send a couple texts and then it would stop sending. I had to reset my phone and it fixed the problem. Try uninstalling and reinstalling FB first and restart your phone in between.
